Composite picture signal

Signal for transmitting monochrome images in which the control pulses and the brightness information required for displaying the image on a TV screen or a video monitor are interleaved. Modulation means that the composite signal only requires one line or one transmission channel. Further modulation to include a colour component results in a composite colour signal.
