SWIR stands for Short Wave InfraRed. The SWIR lenses from Navitar are specifically designed for Cameras and image-processing
applications in the short-wave infrared region. However, they also provide
high-resolution images in the visible and near-infrared regions with high
reliability and are thus suitable for use in rough industrial environments.
New Focal Lengths
Previously, the SWIR lenses from Navitar were available in focal lengths of
25mm, 35mm and 50mm. The company has now added models with lower focal lengths
and is offering 8mm, 12.5mm and 16mm SWIR lenses. Cameras with sensors of 1" can
be connected via C-Mount.
