Optronis manufactures and distributes streak cameras and highspeed cameras for scientific and industrial applications. These high-​end cameras can be used to capture ultra-​fast moving events of many different types.

With many years experience in ultra-​fast measurement, Optronis offer high-​quality products and services plus custom-​designed systems to satisfy the most demanding customer requirements.

The company was founded more than 20 years ago with the industrialisation of streak cameras developed at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in Strasbourg, France. Later, the product portfolio expanded to include high-​speed cameras and in 1996 the company, merged with Photonetics GmbH and moved to Kehl in Germany, and now operates under the name Optronis GmbH.
